MOVIE PEEK

Movie Peek app is a software application that combines movie trailers and the ability to purchase tickets for the movies. The app provides users with a platform to preview the latest movie trailers, read reviews, and purchase tickets for upcoming movies.

Movie Peek features an intuitive user interface with a movie database that is regularly updated with the latest releases. Users can search for movies by title, genre, or release date and view trailers and synopses for each film.

Once a movie is selected, users can view showtimes at nearby theatres and purchase tickets directly through the app. The app will then store the tickets electronically, allowing users to simply show their phones at the theatre on the day of the show. It also offers the ability to select seats, purchase concessions, and receive notifications about showtime reminders and special promotions.

The Problem

Project Overview

Despite the abundance of movie trailers and ticket purchasing options available online, there is a lack of a unified platform that seamlessly combines these features. Moviegoers are required to navigate multiple websites and applications to preview movies and purchase tickets. This process can be time-consuming and frustrating, resulting in a suboptimal user experience. The Movie Peek app aims to solve this problem by providing a user-friendly interface that combines movie trailers and ticket purchasing in one place.

Movie Peek is an app is an alternative app to buy movie theatre tickets near your location, the typical user is between 15 - 40 years old, and most users are college students or young parents. Movie Peek’s goal is to make purchasing tickets easy, fast and enjoyable for all users.

The Goal

My Role

As the UX/UI designer leading the design of the Movie Peek website, my role is to ensure that the platform provides an intuitive and engaging user experience. I was responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces that are visually appealing, easy to navigate, and meet the needs of our target audience.

Responsibilities

Conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, iterating on designs and responsive design.
